Bridget McKinney

After a long career as an international attorney, avid and life-long horsewoman Bridget now writes and edits for Horse Times, the largest and most renowned English language horse magazine in the Middle East. This brings her to such events as Dubai Gold Cup Polo every spring, London Hurlingham Club’s Polo in the Park in June, Arabian Horse Breeders’ Cup events in Cairo, shows in France, local events, and more in order to witness and pass along insights into both the detail and nuance of the events and the persons connected to them.

With an academic background in art and a passion for horses, she has an eye for the representation of horses, the horse world, and horse sport. She and her husband spend as much time as they can with their horses Nessim (‘the breeze’ in Arabic) and Sharbat (‘sorbet’ in Arabic, shown in the photograph) hacking on the Giza Plateau in Cairo.
