Nina Lloyd Jones

Despite coming from a veterinary but un-horsey background, as a teen Nina was regularly to be found looking after other people’s horses at her local livery yard on the South Coast to then later become heavily involved with producing show horses and ponies and also breaking in young horses for professional producers and owners.

After a couple of years out of the horse world to study International Business in Brighton and work in Germany and London, Nina soon realised that working in a professional equestrian environment out of the saddle was a career choice that would comprise her equestrian and business interests. After working with high profile event riders for two seasons, she took a marketing assistant role at British Eventing in 2009 and has progressed to her current job over the past two years as part of the dynamic marketing and communications team as well as editing the British Eventing Life Magazine.

Nina has several years’ experience in managing the social media pages for British Eventing, with over 33,000 followers on Twitter and 23,000 Facebook likers plus popular Instagram and YouTube pages.

This success lead to British Eventing winning the category for Best Use of Twitter in the UK and Ireland ESMA in 2013 and taking second place in the Best use of Social Media in the UK and Ireland ESMA.

In addition to her day job at BE, Nina also works closely with the media teams at the BEF as well as on event at the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials and The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials in addition to being the Press Officer at several events in the UK including the Mitsubishi Motors Grassroots Championships. Nina is also near completion of a Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma.

Nina lives near Stow on the Wold.
