Vanessa Britton

Vanessa Britton is a well-known journalist, researcher, author and photographer. Her specialism is equestrianism, although she has written for many different magazines and newspapers on a variety of subjects from dogs to horses and from boats to athletics.

She has many years' experience in all areas of horsemanship and has produced a number of good event and show horses. In her early years she worked as a head girl before becoming yard manager. She has herself competed highly successfully at all levels, enjoying the disciplines of eventing, showing, showjumping and driving.

In 1984 she moved to Norfolk (from Hertfordshire) where together with her husband she set up a stud producing show and event horses.

She has held the position of equestrian consultant to a London publisher, has edited a number of equestrian titles on both a national and regional basis and now runs her own PR and Marketing company, PressPoint Media Ltd, based at Hingham in Norfolk.

To date, she has enjoyed the publication of over twenty-four equestrian books as well as the release of 'Chuckles the Cheeky Pony' a video/DVD series for children, which is narrated by Liza Goddard.

At the turn of the millennium, she launched a new equestrian trade publication called Equestrian Business Monthly, which quickly established itself as the leading independent equestrian publication in the UK, which still continues to go from strength-to-strength. More recently she has taken the helm of East Anglia’s best selling monthly equestrian magazine ‘EQ Life’. In addition to the magazine, monthly digital edition, website and video content, Vanessa also publishes weekly EQ Life pages within the Archant Anglia daily newspapers – the Eastern Daily Press and East Anglian Daily Times promoting the EQ Life brand and her unique equestrian viewpoint to up to 100,000 readers.
