Student stars of the 2013 ESMA Expert Panel announced

In August we announced our search for a talented student to join their star studded Expert Panel for 2013.

Entrants had to wow us with why they should be chosen in only thirty words or less.

117 students from across the world applied. But, only one would make the cut.

Or that’s what we thought! The standard was so high, we had our work cut out for us picking the winner. So after much soul searching it was decided it was only fair to award two exceptional students.

We are delighted to announce winners, David Bolton, 18 studying at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK and Timothy Harfield, 32 from Emory University, Georgia, USA.

Timothy, who is studying for a PHD in Philosophy was delighted to be chosen and doesn’t take his newfound responsibility lightly: “I am honored to have been selected as an expert panelist for this year's judging, and am delighted to have this opportunity to serve the equestrian community in this way.”

David and Timothy’s names will be added to a list of prestigious former and current judges. Previous Expert Panel members include top names from the equestrian marketing, branding and digital worlds.

ESMA Director, Liam Killen said:

“I’m keen for the ESMAs to showcase out of the box thinking within the equestrian industry. By giving the next generation of industry professionals the chance to broaden their knowledge with places on the Expert Panel they will no-doubt contribute a great deal to the ESMA experience for all involved.”

The full list of judges on the Expert Panel will be announced in the coming weeks and nominations for the 2013 ESMAs open in December on: equestriansocialmediaawards.com
